No Name Lodge, Puerto Rico
November 1-7, 2026
No Name Lodge (NNL) is Puerto Rico's only fly-fishing lodge operation. Located in a 2-story standalone house, NNL is a short 5-minute drive from the happening local downtown of Boquerón, which features amazing restaurants, bars, and a KILLER atmosphere. It really is a unique place!
- Cost: $5,500/per person (6 nights, 5 days of fishing, double occupancy)
- Targets: Tarpon (10–50 lbs) & Permit (frequent tailing shots on reef/sand flats)
- Styles: Mangroves, flats, beach; sight-fishing in clear water
Rates include:
- Completely guided experience; We have a fleet of 8 Maverick skiffs captained by trained and experienced Florida guides who will be with you on the water daily.
- Transportation to and from Mayaguez airport
- Use of camp equipment
- Accommodations and lodge meals
- Local rum + beers
In constantly searching for new and different (and FUN) fisheries to expand their small but growing lodge operation, Cooper and Matt settled on Puerto Rico for lodge #2 back in 2021! The place is absolutely magical; it's a quick, easy flight, has loads of natural beauty, and of course, the fishing is insane!
FISHING
Tarpon & permit are our target species. The permit fishery is amazing, with anglers averaging multiple shots per day. Permit fishing includes wading coastal flats and poling reef/sand flats, primarily for tailing fish with the occasional cruiser. In terms of tarpon, the island has a huge population of resident fish that hang around all year, as there is plenty of freshwater runoff and bait, and there is no need to migrate like our fish in the States. The setup is similar to fishing in Florida, with mangrove shorelines, turtle grass, and sand flats, but with an added dimension of fishing the beach where these tarpons also cruise. They are the only operation targeting these fish from poling skiffs on the island, so needless to say, this massive population of tarpon is very unpressured. Average fish size is from 10–50 lbs, and you'll sight fish them in clear water — no chucking at rollers, they promise, ha!
LODGING
The accommodations are simple, comfortable, and designed for anglers. You’ll stay 4 minutes from the Poblado in a casual, fishing-centric, and decorated, laid-back space that keeps the focus on fishing and fun.
Lodging is a 5-bedroom, two-story stand alone house with air-conditioned rooms and outdoor space for rigging and hanging out. Have a cigar or compete with your friends at ping pong, tiki toss, darts, or basketball. Communal grand indoor kitchen, outdoor kitchen, and large balcony lounge area. Fast Wi-Fi and daily housekeeping.
Your average day will be waking up at the lodge for coffee and breakfast prepared by your house staff or grabbing something to go to eat on the skiff, and then jumping in the trucks to head down to the ramp with your guide. Lunch and boat beers are provided; after fishing, a lodge ping pong competition and welcome drink is waiting for you. Dinners usually include group outings to local restaurants or BBQ cookouts at the lodge.
FLIGHTS
Travel to the lodge is simple, with many direct flights entering PR either through Ponce, Aguadilla, or San Juan. Many guests opt to fly into San Juan before jumping on a puddle jumper to fly to Mayaguez via Cape Air (www.capeair.com). This is a great option and typically the most affordable. For guests who would prefer to fly into Aguadilla, Ponce, or fly into San Juan without the puddle jumper, we can arrange a transportation service for $350 to provide travel for up to 6 guests at a time.

FISHING
The incredible variety of world class fishing close to ChileTrout gives you the opportunity to craft your own adventure. We have many types of boats setups at our disposal to properly fish everything from the area’s larger lakes, to the meandering rivers – these include drift boats, whitewater rafts with fishing frames, motorized pontoon rafts and rowable zodiac style motorized boats.
They may need some assistance from you as they carry, portage or put in rafts in remote areas, sometimes launching rafts where there is no boat ramp – a true Patagonia experience. They also have great opportunities for walks and wade fishing if preferences and conditions align. You must be able to walk river banks, and through relatively fast water over rocks that are at times rough and slippery. Wading boots with good ankle support and without studded soles are required, felt soles are preferred not only for specific walk and wade days but also days where we will fish from the boat and occasionally get out to wade fish as well. An adventurous attitude and the right gear will help make for a fantastic trip.
We cannot wait to show you some of the most varied, pristine, productive and scenic trout fishing in the world!
